LIVE Carthage Streaming
Back-up Page on Streaming Server for Second Live Stream

(Normally the Video stream)

To begin the stream above, press the Play triangle in the lower left hand corner of the player window. At times, the stream shown above is hosted on a backup advertiser supported server and may begin with a short advertisement.

If you get a 404: Not Found or similar error inside the video window, the Live Stream may have not yet begun. Try Reloading this page in a few minutes. If the stream stops, you may need to Reload this page in a few minutes to reconnect.

Occasionally, live events will be delayed and will not begin until after the scheduled start time.

If you are having problems with playing the Live Stream above, please try:

  1. Clicking on this link:
    rtsp://wolfgang.carthage.edu:554/carthagelivestream2.sdp
The link should open Quicktime player on your computer and begin playing the Live Stream inside Quicktime Player.
  2. If the link doesn't play the Live Stream, try updating your installation of Quicktime player to the most recent version by clicking on this link:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/
  3. If the link above doesn't play the Live Stream, we are aware that some users are experiencing connection difficulties related to Quicktime Streaming port assignments or Windows firewall protections. If you cannot connect, try:
    1. Opening Apple QuickTime Player 7.
    2. Go to File and Open URL.
    3. Type or copy the following path:
      rtsp://wolfgang.carthage.edu:554/carthagelivestream2.sdp
    4. Paste the path into the opened URL box.
    5. You may be prompted by your Firewall to allow communication on port 554. Tell the software to allow the port.
That path name should help get the broadcast and may also correct any connection problems on subsequent attempts using the primary link.
  4. You may need to manually open TCP and UDP Port 554 or manually Allow Quicktime Player in Windows Firewall. The procedure is a little different in each version of windows.
